The Ready to Export – R2E
The long-term goal of the R2E program is to strengthen the capacity of Vietnamese SMEs to become reliable, long-term value chain partners for Dutch companies, including Foreign Direct Investors (FDIs) and Multinational Enterprises (MNEs), thereby supporting stronger trade relations between Vietnam and the Netherlands.
The short-term goal is to support selected Vietnamese SMEs in their international growth and market access, particularly in entering Dutch and European markets, and in strengthening their role within global value chains.
During the 2026–2027 program period:
- 90 SMEs will participate in training (30 per key sector)
- 60 SMEs will receive mentoring and coaching
- 45 SMEs will develop export business plans
The program is implemented by the Dutch Business Association Vietnam (DBAV), with support from key partners, including training organizations, business associations, and industry experts.
R2E is designed as a flexible and adaptive program, allowing activities to be refined based on SME needs, market developments, and implementation learnings throughout the program period.
The R2E Program will focus on supporting these sectors of Vietnamese SME which include:
- Agriculture (including Food processing Aquaculture, and Horticulture)
- Manufacturing
- Textile & garment
Program Details
The full learning program takes 16 months to complete from September 2026 to December 2027

Business Awards Event
The R2E program will organize a Business Awards Event at the end of 2027. This event will recognize top-performing participating companies across several categories, such as European Standards, Agility, Sustainability, and Overall Performance.
The awards will showcase the progress and achievements of participating SMEs, while encouraging all participants to fully benefit from the program. One outstanding company per sector will be selected and receive financial support to further develop their export plans.
In addition, the event will serve as a key networking platform, bringing together Dutch and European companies with high-potential Vietnamese SMEs to explore business opportunities and strengthen partnerships.
A total of VND 425,000,000 in investment capital will be awarded to a total of 03 selected SMEs.
